Brian TerHaar graduated from LSU in 1982. Shortly afterwards he created Goals and Poles – a company which sells and installs basketball goals in the Louisiana/Mississippi area. After installing thousands of goals, he joined with a business partner, Brian Balhoff, to create SnapSports of Louisiana – a company which designs and builds backyard basketball courts. After talking with numerous customers, they discovered that families wanted to invest in activities that allow for quality time together at home. So they were able to provide custom courts that could be used for volleyball, pickle ball, and tennis as well as basketball – tailored to each individual family.
Based in Baton Rouge, they understand how important family and community are. “We hear over and over from parents who want to spend more time with their kids at home while also being physically active. SnapSports of Louisiana provides a way for families to play together in a fun and productive way. The one regret we commonly hear is,’we wish we’d done this earlier.'”
